Professor Arbitor & Jurgen Leafmeale
I came across this strange story through reading Jurgen's article in the Radio Times. There was an earnestness to his hatred of gardens that I thought respectable, if not a little misguided. What an odd pair!

Terry Sawyer
In February of this year I came across a strange little advert in one of my favourite magazines, looking for a car that was similar to, or was, the Batmobile. I thought that a fanatic like this would make an interesting character profile for my project. Little did I then know about the sort of lengths to which a fan like Terry Sawyer could go.

Lewis Hands
A tough, feisty and politically engaged young man, Lewis Hands scared me a little on first meeting when he branded my camera equipment as 'Fascist Lies'. He soon calmed down, however, and I was able to capture him and his opinions at a much calmer level. He's a man with not too few views on the world, and maybe some of them will have an effect on you too.

Antonio D Bergstrom
When I took my son to see Antonio, I have to say I was a little taken aback by his full-on stage show. But I was also intrigued into how such an angry man got into this profession in the first place. On delving further into his story, it only got stranger.
After he won the vote for favourite taster, I went back to see Antonio to see if I could delve a little deeper into his dark background.

Kurt Provensal
As lovers of his music will know, Kurt delivers love and happiness, pain and suffering, all within a bar of four crotchets. I had to know more about where it all came from. Expecting a closed door, I was overjoyed to find Kurt not only happy to discuss his deepest feelings with me, but willing to perform his songs to camera.

Shayne Pauls & Gloria Sunsbury
Shayne was just another yob, who people (ashamedly myself included) expected to go down the route of most of the asbo youth and spiral himself into a worse and worse state. Luckily, there was a light at the end of the tunnel: theatre.

Jim Parkhurst & Lord Short
Part of the dying British institution of people who are completely satisfied with their lot, meeting Jim for the first time filled me with warmth. I can't get enough of listening to his stories (true or not..!), and the prospect of going back if he's voted for fills me only with happiness.
